Hey boys and girls, moms, and dads, grampa and grammy don't miss out on our 3rd annual "Noah's Ark Kidz Cruise" the last Sunday in June. This year it is on Sunday June 24th, 4:00-5:30 PM. Come early and get your choice of the candy I will be giving out and a stuffed animal to take onboard the Ark. We have a good selection for you to pick from. We need help to get them all on. You will line up behind "Smiley The Clown" two by two and march onto the Ark to the tune of "Arky Arky" with the stuffed animal you chose in hand, or under your arm. Once on board the Ark a fantastic puppet show, EMC 2 will start once we leave the dock. Tell all your friends to join us for this funtastic "Noah's Ark Kidz Cruise". Tell them Smiley & Raspus sent you. See you on the cruise. F.M.I. Call 515-3000. Keep Smiling!

The History and Story Behind "The Noah's Ark Kidz Cruise"

This was an event Barry Lowe from The Resistance Ministries & The Blacksmiths Music Ministries, mentioned to Bert Rugg from Youth Outreach Ministries/dba His Place Teen Center & Front-Line-Promotions back in 2003.  When Bert heard about the idea he immediately could see the vision and said I would love to help make this happen.

Barry and Bert agreed to make this an annual event taking place in the afternoon on the last Sunday in June each.  The idea was to use the River Queen II in Naples, Maine as "Noah's Ark".  We would primarily design this for kids ages 5-10 years of age.  (All ages are welcome).

In early 2005 we agreed to rent out the River Queen II in Naples, Maine and spread the word that the first Noah's Ark Kidz Cruise would take place the last Sunday in June 2:00-3:30 PM.   We invited  2 of Maine's premier childrens ministries to join us.  We contacted a very professional puppet ministry, EMC2 from Livermore, Maine to present a message through their puppets, we also invited one of the very popular and very much in demand Christian ventriloquists, Dana Perkins from Saco, Maine called Dana & Friends.   We also invited  "Smiley the Clown" to greet the kids and people at the dock.  "Smiley the Clown"  gave out candy and balloons and everyone picked out a stuffed animal to get on board the Ark.   "Smiley the Clown" lined all the kids, parents, grandparents with a stuffed animal in hand up behind him 2 x 2  a few minutes before the River Queen II was to leave to the tune of "Arky Arky".  Smiley the Clown marched them on board the Ark and right up front so they could enjoy the puppet show.

We gave out prizes and had a great time cruising around Long Lake for 1 1/2 hours.  The Noah's Ark Kidz Cruise" was a big hit.  We did it again in June of 2006.  We had about 80 people present at this one.  We sail rain or shine and invite anyone to join us for a fun event.
